4. International Film Festival of India (IFFI)

The 11-day Film Festival started in 1952, is the most significant film festival in Asia. It is held every year in Goa to endorse the art of Film-making, to make people appreciate the film cultures of a different nation. It is conducted jointly by Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Directorate of Film Festivals and the Government of Goa. It has recently completed its 46th edition and chief guest Mr. A.R Rehman glorified the festival with his presence. It was the first International Film Festival in Asia and on its First Edition 23 countries took part and 40 featured and 100 short films were showcased. For the first 2 edition it was non-competitive, Thereafter, it became competitive, and from 2004 it is celebrated in Goa, before that it was celebrated in different places like Madras, Calcutta, Delhi, Trivandrum.

5. VIBGYOR international film festival

Its Central theme is “Celebrating Identities and Diversities”, it is a celebration of human spirit in its diverse specifications,

VIBGYOR is a registered charitable society established in 2006.Recently they have completed their 10th edition in Kerala, it is not just merely a film festival, where films are showcased but it provide a wide platform for interacting with veteran directors of different fields, the festival is followed by many workshops, campaigns, Food Fair, etc. It is a 6-day long festival celebrating Cinema not just a medium of entertainment but connecting with people of different culture.

It takes film-makers to go to the most ordinary place so that they canvas their daily life stories and make them feel they are as important as an actor.
